John Condemi, MD Bernhardt, MS,RN, FNP
Jill was born in Geneva, NY and shortly after moved to Belmont, NY. She grew up in the Southern Tier where they never locked their doors and kids were free to run as long as they were home by dinner. After graduating from Houghton Academy and starting her Pre-med degree at Houghton College, she followed a Nurse practitioner as part of an independent study. After that amazing experience, she had an epiphany and transferred to Roberts Wesleyan College where she obtained her BSN. A year later, she was enrolled full time in the SUNY at Buffalo FNP program and graduated in 2000.

Her first job (and adventure) as an FNP was in Watertown NY where she worked at an Allergy and Immunology practice that served children and adults in the area as well as the Fort Drum soldiers. After having to drive through 3 feet of snow the day before Christmas to come home to her parents, she decided Watertown was not the place for her. When the snow melted that April, she packed up and headed back to Rochester where she started with AAIR working in the Research department and along side Dr. John Condemi.

After 6 and ½ years with AAIR, Jill wanted to see what other opportunities were available for her and took a job as the Employee Health Manager and NP for Highland Hospital. A year later she transitioned into a Nurse Educator role at Highland teaching the medical staff a variety of topics. Through this opportunity she discovered her love of teaching.

Jill now returns to AAIR after experiencing other venues. Since her time at AAIR she has added much to her life including her wonderful husband, Matt and two amazing children, Ava and Rory. When she is not running after her 2 year old or cuddling her 5 month old she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. Her interests in practice include research, allergy, and opening up the complicated world of medicine to her patients and co-workers through teaching.
